I will defend Quinn, he stayed on when he should have gone off. The Boro player Smallwood should have had at least a yellow and possibly a red card for the two footed tackle on Quinn. However, that does not excuse the abysmal display by almost all the team. had they scored seven it would not have flattered them. Thank God for Duffy, the only footballer we have on the books.

Why, did tonight's game have a "predict the future" section that I missed?

What is all this "ripping a new arsehole", any idea what it means? I'm usually pretty good at working things out,but its got me puzzled.

Right lads, ok I was in theatre when this happened so missed the game.
However since when did we start having daft abuse threads slagging off virtually every one of OUR players.
Players that have played reasonably well upto the last 2 games!!
Suddenly everyone is now dog shite - it was a seriously bad "off night" in front of the nation- they happen to ALL teams, don't they ?
We have had many a fantastic performance in front of the nation and delivered in spades haven't we just ask Leeds/Aston Villa and Man City supporters how they felt being mulls red by us  lol.
Paul Dickov will sort it out believe me, so in the meantime can we have less of this 'everyone is shite' rubbish and let's get behind the team and put this abuse malarkey to bed. It's not the way Rovers supporters deal with failure and is NOT helpful to PD or the players.

Yep I've heard it for years and have never asked for fear of being ridiculed. Maybe one of the sages on here can offer an explanation for thi bizarre expression ?

It's just evolved from the phrase being "ripped" or "torn to pieces" as far as i gather.

It's just that my 48 year old arse is about knackered, and if you can get a new one ripped, I wouldn't mind.
Would it be available on NHS or do I have to sign for Donny Rovers to get a new one ripped?

I'd imagine if you have 32 odd years of being a rent boy, that's what usually happens in that game chief. Try pensioning yourself off from all that tomfoolery. Frankie Howards bum (in his last few years) is a great example of the dangers for all aspiring rent boys, and experienced ones too.

Quinn got crocked by a bad tackle after a couple of mins. I was there it was obvious. plus the lad had the beating of Quinn  anyway which didn't help.

Unfortunately I watched the same game as everyone else but with the added exception I was at work and recorded it for viewing when I got home. I've had better experiences. The bottom line is its how we recover from drubbings like these, one bad defeat doesn't mean the ens of the world. Im more than sure we'll be in this division next season.

I don't like the title of this thread and think it should be changed by the moderators.
If players look on the website it's hardly going to have a positive effect.
Paul Quinn is a good, honest professional.
Whether he's playing above his level may be questionable but who else have we got to fill his place at the moment?
Okay, players have their ups and downs but I've come across very few who deliberately go out to toss it off - and Quinn is not one of them.

Actually you've hit upon something there.
If a thread was titled gazlaz abuse thread it would be considered as bullying.  But it seems acceptable aimed at a player?

I'm not saying we shouldn't critique players performances but let's stop it from being a personal abuse thread.

Haha I'm a grown man. A bit of criticism doesn't bother me, in the same way it won't bother Quinny. He's on a few grand a week, he's got enough money for his gambling and boozing, he's happy. He's not bothered what we think.

And he's told you that has he?

How many times do we hear about player confidence being a factor. A thread about abusing a player is out of order.

Like I said by all means discuss his performance but don't single out individual players for abuse

There are plenty of positive things about our club, but they don't need highlighting as they are obvious. Highlight the negatives so these can be improved on and turned into positives. That's my theory anyway.

Sort out the negatives and the positives will sort out themselves.

Gazlaz, I take it you've never managed any staff in your life.
With an attitude like that you never will.

I don't come on here to make friends and talk about what I do and don't do in my private life like many on here. Who I've managed and what I've achieved is of no business of anyone else's. I come on here to highlight areas that we can improve as a team/club. I may come across as a c u n t but I wouldn't swap places with many on here let me tell you.
