Summing up
« on November 09, 2013, 11:22:29 pm by Sprotyrover »
I am trying to get my head around  all of this! Jr jumps into bed with a pair of semi retired property developers, this is to get the club promoted to the Championship, he manages that but can't go any further because he can't match fund his partners one who has 4x his wealth and the other has ten times his wealth.
Clutching at straws he then tries to jump into bed with a property developing Hedge fund who have promised him the chance of a crack at getting into the Prem with little or no investment from himself.
They will buy out the club and let him buy back in with a sweetner of being Chairman for life!
He doesn't tell his other property developer major share holders about this but springs a surprise at a board meeting.
They don't like this because he has signed away their right to  a share in any profitable development.

SOOO this week they go behind JR's back and open their own negotiations with the Hedge fund and start to slice up the cake which includes JR's piece.

JR realises he is excluded and resorts to desperate measures by publicly resigning prior to an important local derby game to stir up the Fans against the take over development etc.

Have I got the gist of what is going on or is it even more intriguing ?

Why did they go behind Jr's back to talk to a group that Bramall was against?

Surely if the KM2 wanted to develop the site they would have their own wealth and presumably enough contacts having built up their own highly successful business that they wouldn't need any input from a dodgy offshore hedge fund?

I think the alleged meeting this past week with SC is a red herring.

Other than that I think the analysis of the situation makes sense to me. Apparently SC are now back to being Irish?? And also a London based hedge fund. Seems they are omnipotent....

JR is now a little fish in the Rovers pond, he also has a very large Ego which appears to have been nicely massaged by SC with an offer of a cheap buy back into the club, his Chairmanship back and the chance of glory if the club makes the Prem.....what happens then? SC rake back their investment and run the Rovers on a shoestring to see a quick profit for their investors or do they keep ploughing in money to ensure Prem status and a nice long term return on their property development around the KM?
