Why so different ?

How come the same team can play so different ? At qpr they looked like a team with play off potential and today apparently so poor ? Do you think the players try harder to show off there potential to the bigger clubs hoping to attract attention to themselves with the media spot light on the bigger games ? Just my opinion I just don't get it and I am so disappointed at the moment
