Just wondered of anyone knew when the naming rights for our stadium come up for renewal or was the deal with keepmoat for life just Intrested to know could be a way to bring some decent money into the club if it did become available

Yep it's about that. And the council pocketed  the cash, and so have to repay on an annual basis.

It was a 15 year naming rights deal, £1.5m upfront from Keepmoat.

Doing a load of searching around, all the press releases just say "long term naming rights deal" so I don't think it was ever made public.

I have all the documentation somewhere, it was part of the consideration when the lease was being arranged by the club and discussions took place at the Mansion House. As I say it has about 7/8 years or so left to run and I'm sure Jenny is correct on the figure. It's currently being repaid.

A payment of £90,000pa will be made by the Council for 9 years by annual instalments each December, by way of "compensation" for the naming rights payments that are due to the stadium, but have already been spent to fund the SMC losses..

Presumably payments have been made for 2012 and 2013 so 7 more to go

Not sure it was but I can say with 100% confidence it was £1.5m over 15 years. I have always wondered why Keepmoat chose to do it, given that their main business is social regeneration and not that of selling homes, it seems that advertising/sponsorship won't really 'pay' for them. I suddenly don't want to buy a keepmoat home that's for sure.
