Well if they can't beat 'the likes of' Doncaster Rovers then there's only one outcome....

Would be harsh if they sacked him. He's had nothing to work with. Selling their better two players this week as well.

I agree Gaz....Although Charlton haven't fallen through the leagues like others, they were a prem club for a long time and now there a small fish in a smaller pond...There problems have been akin to ours squad wise and it seems any player worth anything is being hawked about this week...I can honestly say I think there in big big trouble if they hope to stay up with what they will have  left when the window shuts...whoever is manager...

Powell has been incredibly loyal to CFC, both as a player and a manager. But, as we've seen countless times over the years, it means nothing to the owners if you're not cutting the mustard.
Be a shame if he goes, personally I've always like CP.  :(

Was sitting next to 2 Charlton fans who have a lot of respect for him. However Charlton are now owned by the same people who own Standard Liege, so they fear the worst for him.

Looks like Charlton may be another Watford and act as a feeder club for Standard - already have some new Belgians on their books.

He own Standard Liège and a Spanish second Division club (Alcorçon?) so plenty of scope for loans between his various clubs . He has shares in another small Belgian club too at St Trond !!

Always comes across as a nice fella in post match interviews, never rants and raves, always seems to have a balanced view.

Good luck to him if they do sack him.

It will make a change for a manager to be sacked after we have played them, recently it has been them being sacked just before we played them
