Lighten up chaps, I Wouldnt bother with that forum anyway.. A lot of boro fans know we are in for a tough game given your recent form, and Sharp loves a goal against us. We really need a striker in but Karanka has said even if he signs one he wont be starting. Create plenty of chances but have no one to finish them. Pretty frustrating!

We're fine thanks fella and do appreciate the joke and hope you enjoyed our riposte on the tank too ;)
Btw your lot are in for a far tougher game than you might think......  :)

I used to be a contractor up there in the 70s/80s and worked a week or so at a firm called British Chrome I think it was. There was a green coating all over there. Even the birds had a green tinge.
In the best traditions of British industry the blue collar workers at on site while the management ate off site.
I also worked on Seal Sands for a while, a bomb dropped there would have taken Middlesborough with it.

British Chromium at Eaglescliffe was shut down about a year ago.
I had a mate who worked there, regular health checks were the order of the day, regular car resprays following "accidental discharges", regular nose bleeds - but he got a good wage.........
Contractors have been clearing the site for ages now.

I'm surprised it listed that long, it was rundown 30 odd years ago.

They changed the name to Elementis and built a lovely new admin / management building across the road from the main plant - probably hermetically sealed just in case....

I enjoyed working up there on the whole. We spent a lot of time at Canon Park gas depot. You had to watch the tinkers there after the scrap.

I thought that was fairly funny (the pictures anyway) and very tongue-in-cheek. Plus, you can't argue with the assessment that George Friend is a fine looking bloke.

Something I've always said since the day someone said I looked like him <_<
