Jones out for season

Rob Jones

Rob had a cervical nerve route block injection but unfortunately it has not had the desired effect, which means that he will more than likely have to have a neck operation. This is a cervical fusion to rectify the problem. He goes down this week but it will probably be early next week when he has the operation. After this it‘s 3 months complete rest, so we then look to next season for him.

I wouldn't be overly surprised if he was to retire this summer. We'd be mad not to keep him around the club in some capacity though.

Not good news, but not a great surprise. McCombe seems to be improving but is still some way off playing. I didn't realise Robinson had been ill but that has delayed his return too.

Better news on Tamas- he should be Ok for Saturday. The article didn't mention Ross Turnbull, though he should be back in contention soon.

We certainly missed him on Saturday the number of chances Yeovil had from headers.

Well, speedy recovery to the big man. And yes, if he does retire, we'd be crazy not to keep him on the team. His leadership and passion is boundless.

Hope RJ recovers as well as he can from this - however think it may be the end of career seeing as his game is based on headers
All the best Rob

Do we have to change his song now? "He might be destructible, but always belieeeeeee-eeeeeeve"

Unfortunately I think this could be the end for him. Colossal last season though, and all the best to him.

Can't they stick an iron bar down him? That'd work surely?

If ''The Man'' from the future was sending a Terminator to destroy threats to society he would look no further than sending a clone back of Rob Jones
