Have we lost this year when we have kicked towards the south stand in the first half?

Not in the league. Last loss in the league was on Boxing Day to Ipswich. We did lose in the FA Cup to Stevenage in January though.

It just seems that our performances have improved since we have started kicking that way first.

We lost the toss today and Wednesday chose to change ends.

It worked in our favour today, as it did against Charlton and Huddersfield, where we scored first at the South Stand end and then consolidated.

In past seasons we have almost always played towards the South Stand in the second half, but this has only had mixed results.

The key thing is that we need to score first and if that means kicking towards the South Stand in the first half, then that is what we should do.

I have a theory that nowadays we prefer to let the oppo kick towards their own fans in the first half, especially when they bring big numbers.

We lost the toss yesterday but Wednesday decided to turn around because of the wind direction. What they hadn't reckoned on was that the wind swirls round in the Keepmoat so one side seldom has any advantage from the wind for long.

I thought that to but then thought they knew we have been pretty good at home lately and want to try to get at us early with there fans behind them which they nearly did for the 1st 20 mins without troubling Sam
