Manchester United are now just like any other club, sad GLAD times.
They are actually a lot worse off now than any other big club because the American owners loaded the club with huge debt in a leveraged buyout. The club is now run for the benefit of the Glazers and the banks. Liverpool are another club that is run this way. No other big club in the world is 'run' this way and long term it spells disaster for both clubs.
I think part of the glazers financing was based on guaranteed champions league football for the foreseeable future. Be an interesting season for them next season.welcome to the real footballing world Manchester united

A top four finish next season is imperative, if a one season blip becomes two seasons then I suspect people will start to get anxious.
