Random Request
« on April 25, 2014, 10:08:48 am by wakeyrovers07 »
Hi All,

Just had a phone call confirming that the drum is allowed to be used again. Just wondering if anyone would happen to have any marching drum sticks or know where i can get hold of some ASAP?

I had the previous ones at the ground but unsure as to their location anymore due to not being used.

Cheers

In my opinion the drum ruins the atmosphere, please leave it at home

When the drum is there, every one looks to it to create the atmosphere, and when some spontaneous singing does occur, the drum just takes over and drowns it out and the singing dies.
Atmospheres sound SO much better without a drum.

I must admit I dislike the use of drums at football matches and wouldn't be sorry if they were banned from every stadium in England (or even the world)!

But- some people like them and think they add to the atmosphere. It does seem amusing that last week the drum was not allowed in due to "'elf and safety" considerations and now it is allowed back. I wonder what has changed?

If it's played properly you can't beat it.

If the drum helps the atmosphere, maybe we'll snare a few more fans?

Get it brought down, the atmosphere has been awful without it.

You've got to start stuff off aswell. Don't just join in like some do half way through people are singing or you'll be waiting all game.

Will be in the TV gantry of the south stand as far as I am aware! Let's get some noise generated and be the 12th man to take us to safety. We can do this, let's get the KM rocking  :scarf:

brilliant news, the days when gareth used to do it and myself occasionally we made home made sticks, 2 pieces of thin pipe/wood then we used toilet roll wrapping it round then gaffer tape then do this alternately until there at a decent size, we got the top from the Blackpool drummer years ago and it worked a peach, the drum was really loud.

Keith Moon would have had a job making a drum sound interesting on a football terrace! ;o)

Right slap bang behind their goalie might be interesting for half a game.
