You mean SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe) rather than SHAEF (Supreme Headquarters Allied Expeditionary Force).

The former is still in operation, the latter ceased to exist in 1945.

Ok, fair does. Didn't make sense though that a long defunct organisational structure could be making decisions today about the tensions in Eastern Ukraine.
