Being as we seem intent on signing plenty of ex-players would we have Gilly back. Released from his time as a Florist.
I'd definitely be happy to see him return.

Si Gillett would be a great signing never let us down before & maintained his level of performance when it was chaos around him with the McKay thing

Are you having a laugh? Apart from the multiple seasons he ran around like a headless chicken constantly looking for an invisible overlap. He's never been championship quality, and even League 1 would be a league too high..

Better than Keegan and a lot of people seem to rate him on here.

we need more goals from the middle of the part, not a crab who plays easy balls side to side.

I always like Gillett.  He never shirked responsibility and was always up for the fight.  Granted he is never going to be a Messi, but he always put a shift in.

Thought he was harshly judged by many who obsess over him not being as much of a threat as Coppinger but should Keegan re-sign I really don't think we need SG. If Copps and Cotts re-sign and presuming Wellens stays then I think thats a very healthy midfield for L1 and if we do look to stick an extra body in the squad then he needs to be more creative than defensive.

Might be okay in League One, definitely not a Championship player. Not a bad bet if we want to steady the ship not a good option if we want to push on.

Add De Val, Furman, Forrester and we're looking (potentially) pretty strong in midfield.  Could do with a proper lefite though?

I'd prefer to see Husband play on the left wing like last time we were in this division but I don't think it's going to happen.

Not if we retain Copps and Cotts

To be honest, I think keeping Husband is gonna be the tricky part

Keegan job was to tackle and win ball back to give it someone better.
Gillett job was to pass and keep possession, can't tackle

Gillett was ok when he had the ball at his feet but struggled receiving a bouncing ball simply because of his height, put him at a disadvantage just getting the ball down by which time he had players on him challenging for the ball.
The lower down the leagues you go the less the ball is played along the ground which putts Gillie at a greater disadvantage.
