Any news on the takeover?

Now I'm gainfully employed again I don't get much chance to look at this forum in the daytime. I see there is a 14-page thread running, but that seems to have descended into the usual slanging match.

Can someone tell me whether anything has moved forward vis-a-vis the takeover? The last I heard was that there might be some news by the end of the week. Is it still just JR and LT who we know to be involved, or have other parties emerged? There seemed to be a few references to our old friend Mr Phelan on that long thread. Has his name been mentioned again (I do hope not!)
