That is suspicous. Ive been off work the last few days and watched it through the day and the dotions have been dead! Then big donations overnight, could be legit but im not sure now.

It's always daytime somewhere in the world!

I really don't get why people have a problem with any of this. So lets say JR and LT put £1.5M into this trust and the rest comes from Louis fans etc etc.
Isn't that £500k we wouldn't have got?

Or is that too simplistic?

But then doing that it wouldn't give half the people on here the opportunity to have yet another moan about JR and the takeover.

If this would have happened at any other club, or if TB & DW tried this last season, the "moaners" would be saying the same things, and I've got a sneaky feeling you would have joined in.

My issue with the topping up strategy (if that's what is happening) is that the whole point of crowdfunding is that each individual pledger is part of something bigger community and derives satisfaction from seeing their chosen project come to fruition.

In this case, that bigger community is obviously not there, just JR and his cronies plus 500 deluded Directioners.

If they just wanted charitable donations, they should have said so.

I wonder what the cost of manufacturing & delivering all the rewards - last time I looked there were only 6 takers for the sweatshirt - not cheap to produce just 6 sweatshirts, and what if those 6 live in Argentina, USA, Israel, Outer Mongolia etc

Not enough I wouldn't think! Mind you that tat is better than the majority of the stuff the club shop sell's.

"Sell's" Gaz  what new word is that ? I struggled to get past spell checker with it lol . I'm being playfully pedantic here as I needed a laugh this morning. :)

Please correct me if I am wrong! But if the 2.5 mil is raised I take it that it increases our FFP budget by a like amount?

The Crowdfunder page is showing that all the £12,000 and £10,000 packages are sold out.  The highest available pledge is now £1000.  With the fund needing another £1.25m that's going to require 1250 people as a minimum to pledge and so far only 576 have pledged.

Not strictly true Beerseller. Although items are set an amount, you can choose to pledge more. Also, people can pledge more than once if they wish.

I appreciate that BJW but its going to look more than a little contrived if the target is now reached in any scenario where there are less than 1800 people making a pledge.  Ideally, it has always needed a few thousand one directioners to pledge £20 or so each to make a convincing case that LT's involvement alone is having the impact which I presume both he and JR were looking for with this project.

Why on earth would he do that at this stage. If you were him you would ride the crest of this wave until it breaks and then persue a solo career.
This current tour is set to gross £ 400 million + alone just on ticket sales let alone the tat sales endorsement monies etc .
You would have to be loopy to risk jumping off this ship. Where do these journos get this crap from ?

Maybe the lad has artistic endeavours of his own that he wants to pursue, and feels hamstrung by the creative limitations placed in him by his current situation. Maybe his soul is yearning to climb to the next level of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.

Isn't that the sort of ballacks that talentless marionettes generally come out with around about this time in their careers?

It is when they start getting ideas that they are serious artists, rather than pretty lads who can hold a note and dance a bit and who have been carefully managed to mega-stardom.

What I mean is, I doubt young Harry is going to be the next Bob Marley or John Lennon.

The rumour about Harry going solo is true. I used to help my mate Harry out with his kitchen and bathroom wall covering business,  but now he's doing it on his own.

Harry's Tiles is now a one man enterprise.

One day left and still £1.25M short, will there be some big donations tonight, or does it fall flat on it's arse?
