Hedge fund loses case

The following paragraph sounds remarkably familiar

Quote
The lawyers also wrote to the Sky Blue Trust, run by volunteer fans committed to a better future for their historic club, threatening them with potential legal action if they did not take down a link to the Guardian article.

Yep that's how Hedge funds do their business...That's why all investors names are confidential to protect their reputations...

Yes and that's why the much derided VSC fought tooth and nail to safeguard our club from the clutches of the very anonymous Sequentia Capital.
Many on here owe the VSC Board an apology......instead you would seek to discredit the VSC for trying to protect the club

Aye, thank god they went away.......it's a fair bet we'd have ended up getting relegated like Coventry if they'd have got their way!

You can't say because that happened to Cov it would have happened to us. All irrelevant now anyway.

We can't see the wood for the trees at the moment so irrelevant hedges are the next best thing to talk about.

I doubt they gave the vsc a second thought other than stopping some unknown people allegedly spouting litigious stuff on here. In the scheme of things, the vsc are small potatoes in the running of drfc. Debate if that's sad or not, but it's true - Glastonbury reference there for the initiated.

DW and TB turned the bid and I am sure that one of the reasons was the way that SC responded to the questions that the VSC put to them
No responsible board should countenance the way that SC reacted to fellow shareholders

You wouldn't be thinking along the wrong lines there Bedale.

A decent article for those interested in the carry-on at Cov;

You could not make it up....if you wrote a film script based on this, it would be rejected as implausible!

Is this thread football related? Yes

Is this thread transfer related? No

I reckon it's on the right place then.

TBH is it worth moaning about?

It seems that lots of forum users are lacking sufficient Rovers related news so s good old moan has to happen instead.

Red - I'm not having a moan at you in this response.

I'm not moaning either, but I'm pretty sure if someone posted a post about a hedge fund owning a football club and it been successful it would be removed deleted and locked away forever. I probably could find a story on the internet somewhere but if I'm frankly honest I have better things to do on my Saturday night

Funnily enough, to a section specifically for... you guessed it, transfer rumours.

You'd be wrong!

I'd really like you to find an instance of a club being run succesfully by a hedge fund, go on do it, it must be better than moaning on a football forum on a Saturday night/Sunday morning at 1.15am, surely

Did I just not say "I'm not moaning" or did you not read that bit?

Just too add to that, someone having a different opinion or my agreeing with you doesn't mean their moaning, it seems to me as if "filo" is always right!! So I bow down to you sir.

But that's not really what's being said is it? All he's doing is challenging you to find an article that fits the description of what you seem to believe would be "removed deleted and locked away forever".

Not exactly what you're claiming, is it...

It's certainly a way to answer a question when you don't actually have an answer...
