I think this tournament has worked out quite well for England. They are a work in progress (and at the early stages of that progress). The expansion of the Euros has given them the chance to use the qualifying tournament to give players like Stones and Sterling some valuable international experience. If fewer places were available at the finals then I think we might have a job on to qualify.Mind you, I don't agree with the expansion. Another of Platini's "brainwaves."
