He did, but he can't do anything about broken bones, and injuries caused through impact

True, but before Mal Purchase we'd had a history of strains and soft tissue injuries. Also, did we have many broken bones last season?

Mal Purchase is the most over rated man going. If he was half as good as people think he is he would be at Man Utd, Arsenal or some other big club. We had a lucky season when he was here, on and off the pitch.

TRB
Wabara and Wellens had broken bones in their feet.
Khumalo ruptured his knee ligaments falling from an aerial challenge
Jones wrapped himself round a post
Husband dislocated his shoulder.
Tamas got t**tted in Silver Street.

No amount of conditioning is going to prevent those injuries

Ok- I accept those and we were unlucky.

As I said in a previous thread - I didn't agree with 'the experiment' at the time, but I now understand why we did it. I was gutted that SO'D left and we replaced him with Saunders, but to Saunders' credit he played a massive part in us winning league 1 even after a relegation.

I'd have Saunders back over Dickov, even if it was just temporary to sort us out!

Going off tangeant slightly - I personally hope Saunders keeps Crawley Town in league 1 and doesn't get his 3rd relegation on his CV!

Neither by the way Saunders manages another club to relegation, 3 times a manager in league football and 3 relegation.

Saunders is terrible.

That's the one person I'd not want as manager.
