Obviously wages would not have been an issue. I'm surprised we didn't try and sign him.

Maybe PD doesn't think he brings anything different or better to the squad - at present?

I used to work with someone called Edna Stevens.  She was a right battleaxe.

Good player. At limited cost a back four of Quinn, McCombe, McCullough and Stevens immediately looks a lot more solid.

I would never have Quinn anywhere near this club ever again. He could be better than Philip Lahm and he could still piss off for me. You have to have some principles.

I think he's saying if circumstances in the closed season had turned out differently.

Exactly Gaz.

Quinn is clearly a bit of a volatile character but at League One level he would be a top player. We've currently got two full backs who by and large struggle to defend. Quinn could definitely defend. He struggled with the football bit mind.

Couldn't fault his attitude on the pitch, I'd have him but not at the cost of pissing Billy off....

If the close season situation was different an Quinn was still here he would be at centre half for me. Shocking move for Stevens that as well he's certainly not going to develop there.

Least Boot-hroyd is not their manager any longer. He certainly wouldn't learn much about football if that were case.

Great idea by the fa, get the young players learning to play the game with SOD and the u19's the right way and then promote them up to the u20's to the footballing dinosaur Boothroyd.

It's utterly bizarre isn't it? What WERE the FA thinking of? There must be a reason for it somewhere - but except for 'giving the boys a fully rounded footballinf education' I'm damned if I can see it. It's almost like the FA are deliberately designing a system with guaranteed failure built in. But how can that be possible?

They won their first game of three 3-0 v Belarus.
