Dutch/TRB

Grand stuff.

And the thread title sounds like a Fall B-side.

It would be good to see an International's Honour Board somewhere on the concourses for all fans young and old to see . I would also like to see some photos of match action from games over the years . There used to be a wall full of such photos in the pub that Alick Jeffrey ran , in the market place . The packed  terraces of Belle Vue in the 1950's used to captivate  me as a kid, though I saw those pics in the  Saturday Green U not in the Black Bull.

Grainge - sorry I did miss PD from the managers list - now edited

Steve Nicol had 'only'27 caps. A list of 86 internationals is on the PopStand website in Issue number 70. None of Bubalovic, Hayrettin or Maamria make the list.

2 names to be added are Gordon Greer and Luke McCullough (not capped when the list was made) to make a total of 88.

From that list in issue 70 I wondered how many different players were for each Country, so here goes:

Northern Ireland - 16
Wales - 12
England - 11
Republic Ireland - 7
Jamaica - 5
Scotland - 4
Australia - 3
Senegal - 3
South Africa - 3
Canada - 3
France - 2
Barbados - 2
New Zealand - 2
Mali - 1
Burkina Faso - 1
Guadeloupe - 1
Sierra Leone - 1
Montserrat - 1
St Lucia - 1
Congo - 1
Netherland Antlles - 1
Ivory Coast - 1
Martinique - 1
Romania - 1
Iceland - 1
Thailand - 1
St Kitts and Nevis - 1
South Korea - 1

That was "The bas**rd son of Dean Friedman," wasn't it? That album always raises a smile.

So who has been awarded the most International caps whilst actually a rovers player ie actually signed on not a loan and not counting caps awarded whilst playing for other teams?

As in the OP, it is claimed on Vital Donny that Dean Furman has passed Len Graham's 14 Northern Ireland Caps with 15 for South Africa. IMHO this is wrong since 3 of the 15 caps counted for Dean were when he was still officially an Oldham player.

Issue 70 of PopStand gives a full list (as of last April so now out of date) of all caps won by players whilst at Rovers.

Edit: I have now put a comment on the Vital Donny article.
