It's time to call it a day
« on December 13, 2014, 05:37:53 pm by IC1967 »
It's time to call it a day on all this manager bashing. It's doing no good whatsover. It's time to let Paul and the team know they have our unequivocal support.

All this negativity is having a bad effect on our displays at home. Stop and think for a minute. Why do we do so much better away than we do at home? It's because all the moaning minnies only go to home games. It is you that are the problem.

Get it sorted or we'll be getting relegated.

No it's not Dickov is the problem, it's time for him to go. Go now and give his replacement a chance to turn things around while we have time

Hope this is a tongue in cheek remark. It is so obviously down to tactics, away games we get teams on the break,at home we dont have the players, tactics to take the game to teams!

Stats dont lie,we dont get enough home support anyway

So it has nothing to do with the fact that dickov has no clue? Nearly relegated oldham, relegated us from a comfortable position and is now nearly doing the same.
But no, its our fault, makes so much sense.
Forgive my arrogant response but I am just sick and tired of the same old crap every weekend.

We played crap on tuesday and he again picked 2 forwards who didn't do anything
And we give the ball away too much!

Dickov and the players get paid a hefty some. I find you blaming the paying fans on performances somewhat distasteful.

It's time for dickov to call it a day he has had a good and fair crack at it but he is not good enough , last year the board backed him and he still took us down and he will do the same again this season unless he quits as I don't see our board ever sacking him

Can't believe how many people have bitten on this thread.

Mick needs to stay in off topic.

Again IC1967/madmick50/mdjgreg is just starting a thread to get attention. It's the same old double meaning title trotted out. There's plenty that needs discussing, just ignore him.

Look, it's very simple. The board are not going to get rid. So whether you think they should or not is irrelevant.

Now, given that Paul is going to be our manager until the end of the season, is it best to

a) get behind the manager and the team so they play with less trepidation at home.

or

b) keep on slagging him off and heaping pressure on him and the team so they hate playing at home.

For those of you that can't work it out, the answer is b).

United we stand, divided we fall.

Unfortunately there is a chink in your logic. The home form has been mediocre to bad for over 3 years now. Long before Dickov got here and long before the fans started getting on his back. So the causality doesn't add up.

So what does that tell you. The players don't like playing at home. This must have something to do with the fans getting on their backs. Who gets the blame from the fans? The manager. This makes the situation worse.

Unless the attitude of the fans changes we are doomed.
