5 red cards for teams against Doncaster in the last 5 league games. When was the last time that happened?

Refs must like us after all  :P

Not enough to give us either of the 2 penalties I thought we had won

Must admit I didn't see any decent shouts for a penalty, but how the ref and linesman missed the blatant handball by the defender who was on the floor I'll never know?

Copps was tripped by Carrol on the stroke of half time, if the ref gives it he has to send Carrol off and they play the whole of the second half with a man down!

And when Dumbuya handled the ball on the floor in the second half it would have been a red. All three officials were just clueless last night.

In reply to BJW's original post - a very good question. I had also noticed the large number of recent red cards for the oppo and I can't remember any other occasion. Certainly there would be no such occasion in the very old days (say pre 1966) since there were far fewer sendings off then.

The only possibility might be if there was a match when the oppo had 3 sent off and I can't remember one off hand. I do remember us having 3 sent off at Bradford City in the mid 1980's.

This is something the Red Baron would be far better at knowing than me, but that will have to wait until he is back home.

Not sure I could be much help. I don't keep stats on the opposition other than goal scorers.

Me too TRB, and I don't do very much on goalscorers either.

My guess would be 5 Reds in 5 against Rovers is a record
