Yes but did we know at the time that it would have kept us up?

2-0 up and bossing the game, why did we  then sit back and allow them back into the game?

We did not sit back, we were forced back by the good play of Chesterfield.
With the players we had in the side we could not sit back.
So if he had changed some of the players you could have said that. Instead we kept the attacking players yet they failed to take chances we had.
So if we continue to play like we are doing then the attacking players must learn to convert chances to see progression. We have lost 4 points in the last two games we should have won, some may say good goalkeeping but if Eoin Doyle had those chances he would have scored.
The team are playing better, results are getting better but we should have more points.

If we play for the next 20 matches like we have played for the last handful, we will end up in the play-offs. That's really all there is to it.

If we get the same results, yes. But some of our results have been fortunate, despite our dominance. The spell of 'promotion form' was very nearly lost against the Dingles and Notts county, because of our weak finishing. Had Smith's effort for county gone in, and Forrester's wonder goal not, it would be a completely different story.

We MUST convert more chances to finish games off.

Doyle is having a good season, but he's struggled before now at clubs.
He's 26,
I wonder if his own fans have called him shit before

Thought we were fantastic? I'll eat humble pie because I said we wouldn't survive in championship, but that performance sold me? Bit more strength in depth think promotion would jerk the board to give a bit more to sort that, early doors but the new lad did really well, if copps stayed on thought we would have won comfortably

1 thing I couldn't understand from Saturday's game was in the last 10/15 minutes Chesterfield kept knocking long high balls in to our box and scored there 2nd goal from one of then yet we had a 6foot 5ins center half on the bench who would av won most if not all of the balls that was planted into the box

You can only make three substitutions!
