I remember coming home from Groningen 20 years ago and changing trains in Rotterdam to get the ferry back and Ajax were playing Feyenoord - never saw so many riot police armed to the teeth with sub machine guns. No f**king about.

Away fans are now banned from these games now..... Never seen so much hatred when you talk football with the 010 and 020 supporters from Rotterdam and Ajax..... It's only a game mush!

I'm off to FC Utrecht vs Ajax in April, should be a tasty one.

Always liked watching Dutch togger on the box for some reason.

Decent ground mate, went three years ago. It's about 20 mins walk from station if you're on train. I've been to 13 out of the 18 if you want any more info on any. Are you going to another ground during the weekend, I do three in a weekend if I can.

Nac Breda for me....Stayed at Oosterhout for a couple of weeks on a training course and got to see them, so follow their results now! Been to the Ajax stadium with England a few years back for the friendly game!!! The lads at Oosterhout were saying Willem III and Den Haag fans were the bad boys!!!!

Went to Willem v Feyernoord about 5 years back and it was very quiet, no trouble.
Agree about Den Haag, the place just stinks of evil. Most of Den Haags home support look just like Chelsea and Millwall fans from the 80's, all with shaved heads with green jackets, combat trousers and red Doc Martens. Game was played in a haze of cannabis smoke, you could hardly see the goal at the other end. Also had eye scanners at the turnstile, first and only time I've seen that. All good fun though.

Agreed Bob, I liked the Phillips Stadion. My problem was getting a ticket. Club didn't want to know even when I was in ticket office, explaining I had come from Doncaster to visit for just one match. Wouldn't sell me a ticket even though they had some left. Got round it though, asked a total stranger in club shop if he would get me one. He was pleased to do so, thank God.

We're doing IJsselmeervogels vs SV Spakenburg on the Saturday.

Unfortunately 8 euro beers in the dam don't cut it for me.
