I don't remember one that stood out particularly, but I was really fortunate that where I grew up we had a great progressive radio station that played new music from the UK and US, and so the local clubs (dives really) booked these groups in early. So my favorite concerts were the ones I saw at those places. We saw many, many groups before they became really big, and you just knew by how good they were, that you were seeing something special. Amazing really that we saw The Police, U2, Dire Straits, The Pretenders, The Boomtown Rats, Joe Jackson and The Talking Heads all before they got famous in small, dark, dirty venues where you didn't even want to drink out of the glasses. There were many others concerts since then that have been fab as well, but those were my favorites.
Oasis at City of Manchester stadium years back.Courteeners last year at Leeds festival were just unbelievable.kasabian at Doncaster Dome last year i think?Enjoyed Faithless at the dome too.
I've seen The Fall live four or five times. Every time they have been superb. Best was at a place in Brum whose name escapes me, but it was circa This Nation's Saving Grace. The Beat at Warwick Uni in my student days was a top gig.
A close 2nd was the chap who won stars in their eyes as Chris De Burgh performing in the Asda car park. Possibly for something like Children In Need. Obviously you tend to over glamorise details in your memory but I believe Samantha Mumba and A1 were also in the star-studded line-up.
