Butler said he knew nothing about us being interested in him in the summer

There's an interview on player where butler speaks if our interest in him over the summer

It always makes me smile as to just how accurate peoples predictions are regarding points and opponents. Just reading any of the pre match predictions and criticisms of team selections proves how clueless we all are about football. It's a funny old game after all

 :that:
What it says is how predictions can make every one of us look daft at least some of the time.

However I am personally going down the A1 this time, as tired of passing that bloody hossy in Birmingham.
BTW   I know it' s in the wrong section but to all my mates on here......thanks for your support as I was given the "" all clear" of reoccurring cancer yesterday despite a 55% chance of that happening....... Beat the predictions there anyway . lol

Nice one Hoola, if the team shows as much fight and bottle as you, we're guaranteed the play offs.

Regarding the two budgets - gavin said quite clearly at some of the supporters club nights that there was some difference (as much as 25%) but the budget pd got was what was agreed prior to takeover talks! He also said that the 'extra' was accounted for under the second budget if certain targets were met at strategic points in the season! He also alluded at one event (the retford one I think) that both main and tyson were wanted with both budgets and that he felt that tyson (especially) was secured on a cheaper contract under the second budget than he would've been under the first budget.

I may be wrong (and probably am) but this seems to have been the case for lots of deals which means that altho on face value the budget we got was 'less' than the proposed one it has been spent a lot wiser providing greater value for money! I don't suppose we're too far away from a squad that we woulda seen on the other proposed (but ultimately unsuccessful) post possible takeover budget!

Butler and johnstone were on both lists too apparently!
