Potential biggest crowd of the season?
« on March 04, 2015, 01:48:07 pm by Filo »
With the Peterborough game being cheap prices

Quote
@ryanmurrant: Posh have requested a further 1,000 tickets after selling their initial allocation of 1,000. We need 8,000 #DRFC now…!

be nice to get a regular update from the club in the lead up to show how tickets are selling

its also a good test of how good their marketing skills are

It has the potential to be.

We had 6000 or so home fans for the Colchester game, and Posh are direct rivals for the Play Offs.  Perhaps a win on Saturday next will bring a few more?

But for those who genuinely can't afford the football regularly, this represents a great opportunity - and will probably be a good game too!

I bought ten and gave them to the club to use for good cause . If you are an exile and can't get to the match it is a way to support and hope the ten folk cheer louder than you could !

If every fan bought ONE extra £5 ticket for a mate ... now THAT would be fan power .

The biggest crowd of the season will be scunny at home. we need to win to get in the play offs and they need to win to stay up. We go on to win 3-0 a jamie coppinger hat trick to cement his name in history even more.

I've bought 3 extras for my son, who is visiting me, and 2 mates from my village. Great initiative and hopefully it will get the audience it deserves.

If we can't attract 8000 home fans when the tickets are so cheap and we're in the play offs then its worrying to say the least.

If we all bought 10 Tickets could we get an attendance of say 15002 - for a new Record ?

Don't think they lost many seats due to the screen did they? Surely no more than 50/60 I would have thought?

Not any more it's not. Segregation and the installation of that screen - in case you haven't noticed the changes at the ground and the contents of the discusson in this thread.

We all owe a favour to someone somewhere . Invite that person to join you for an afternoon for the Peterborough game .

It's a great idea in theory, problem is, I've struggled to give away free tickets when I've had them. Says all you need to know really

Bradford City could possibly be a contender as well. Bank Holiday and I can see them easily selling out their allocation. Should both clubs maintain form and positions it could be a vital match.

It's not the club's fault if folks don't want to come despite the offers (not saying you meant that colincramb).

IMHO the best way to get crowds back is decent results and performances - over a long period.

I give my purchased extra  tickets back to the club ( I bought ten for the Peterborough game ) . They find VERY GOOD CAUSES for the tickets . Mine are all going to a hospice this time and Charles Swallow assures me the matron will organise the distribution . If you can't give them away because nobody wants them give them back to the club for distribution .
