The Crown Hotel Bawtry Doncaster Business Cup

Hi All,

Some of you asked me to keep you posted on this for this year so here is it.

The Crown Hotel Bawtry Doncaster Business Cup is now in its 5th year of running. The aim being business owners/seniors get together to have a game of football to raise money for local charities. We have raised over £35,000 for far and aim to raise more this year.

This year we have chosen 5 charities as its out 5th year to each benefit from the money raised:

• Aurora
• FireFLY
• Northridge Community School for Special Needs
• Bluebell Wood
• Club Doncaster Foundation

The whole purpose of the event is not to have world class footballers but to have fun raising money. We normally get around 500-1000 down to watch and its just a great day.

Anyway the reason i am posting here is registration is open now, and I know some of the members here were wanting to get involved and play this year so here is the link:

We are having our first trials tomorrow night and the next set thursday 30th April. - Not to judge ability but more so we can match up and have equal teams.

I fancy this this year dave, but I'm not sure about my availability for trials - I'm a 40 year old goalkeeper who has just finished my first 11 a side season in 11 years - in the donnuy sunday morning prem for eden grove! Bri butcher knows me well and I'd love to join you guys if it's possible!

Would love to but am rehearsing for a show at cast on tuesdays and thursdays currently! I also train wednesdays and play on monday and sunday evenings so I'm stuck for time of an evening until we get the show done (may 7-9)
