It I was able to be there tomorrow I would be. Hope there is a decent walk up on the day.
I have to admit that I would love to have seen this be a superb event but the pricing looked ridiculously high from the beginning. It's such a shame that , just like JR/LT's harebrained idea, the lesson of overpricing wasn't learnt Copps deserves better but the committee have 1) Massively over estimated the One Direction factor, 2) Under-delivered in terms of those starring in the event ( see King Alick's testimonial above ) and 3) Massively overpriced an event of this kind. Alex Ferguson's event cost £18 - 24 for an adult (55,000 rolled up on the day) . This was for the testimonial of what some see as GB's greatest manager at GB's biggest club. Now like him or loathe him AF attracted the cream of English and International footballers to this match...that is a fair comparison. Certainly not one I would like to see but a 'fair' comparison.Supporters won't be able to see the likes of Careca, Vialli, Cantona, Beckham, Weah etc. at the game on Sunday. All figures and info taken from google.

Perhaps that is why a reasonable discussion quite often turns into a personal slanging match. I agree with hoola btw. Shame the game was priced to get the most money in rather than get the most fans in.

I am just wonder how yourself, as a forum member for 4 days, can attack hoola for his comment? As far as youn know, hoola may be JR's biggest supporter and praised him continually for years. In fact as far as you know, this may be the first negative post about John Ryan on the forum? Lucky guess? Friends tell you? Been researching the archives? Or........And as I mention earlier, you attack hoola as the poster in your inital post, rather than his opinion of the crowd funder scheme. Hence why a reasonable discussion turns into a personal slanging match.
