Exactly blackpool. It's blame blame blame Acko. I don't think Paul Dickov is the right man for the job and I have faith it the board to do the right thing and pull the trigger if he's not delivering, say, 10 games into next season. We can go back and forth all day but he has not had a proper pre-season to build. That's a fact. You may not like it. I certainly don't but it's where we are.

Tbh, I was not expecting much this season. We will finish mid-table. As most expected. Football teams go through transitions. We are in one now... A few players at the end of their time, some youngsters coming though who show promise... It requires a measured approach.

As I said, I reckon the board will give him money to spend and I think he will bring in quality and steel. Whether he can weld that into a force to be reckoned with is another matter. If he can't, he will be shown the door soon enough... But he deserves a chance at a clear Summer. Just my opinion.

the trouble is pdx dickov will not be on contract soon I beleave so does he get one and if he does your 10 game thery goes out the window,and I along with a lot of others didn't see the proof with the signings we made that the budget was anywhere near the top in league 1

I'm not sure I agree with you acko - yes we didn't pay much for players but I would imagine the players that we 'bought' in a wage sense is pretty high! Copps, wellens, keegan renegotaited, main, tyson, butler and maybe razak are probably all on a decent whack at this level! The lads on loan I assume we contributed a bit too, and the 'lesser' known players wabarra and evina (plus any others I've missed) won't have been on less than 1000 a week I wouldn't have thought - obviously don't know but would imagine that's a pretty hefty wage budget for this level - throw in furman and forrester and there's probably a chunk and a half gone on wages alone!

Not an argument people used much last year to justify our relegation with the second lowest budget in the division.

You're never going to see proof of what players are being paid. And neither should you. That's between the employer and employee. You're just casting out thoughts that don't really hold any weight to be honest.

Or would you rather see a fax copy of a bank statement, which was seemingly good enough for your old mate JR to try and sell the club? It doesn't work like that.

You may not like the current owners but they are highly successful men and you don't get to that level through huff and bluster, shooting your mouth off or not being clinical and ruthless when you have to be. They are no soft touch and just because they are not front and centre in the Free Press each week doesn't mean they won't act to get rid of a failing manager. Let's wait and see eh?
