Well summarised.
Dickov only has one tactic when we go behind and that is to sacrifice midfielders for strikers - it has not worked all season so why would it start working now? We lose all shape and the front men just run around like headless chickens because they are not getting the service they need.
Then one piece of good fortune, the young kid Lund tries to clear it and it goes in without their player even knowing how it happened. It was a very even game, before this MK were starting to run out of ideas, without this bad fortune i do think we could have at the least held on for a draw or even nicked it late on.McCullough in front of Butler gave us a solidity we haven't had for a long time, first half especially even before his booking they were targeting Cedric on the left, but the gap was closed in the second half. The substitution Paul made was attacking, adventurous and logical as we needed to score, but it was also totally predictable, it's the same substitution week in week out when we are behind. When he made the changes, especially bringing McCullough off we lost any control of midfield, i feel he made a mistake, we were one down due to bad fortune, in my opinion it needed 'Like for Like' changes.Without McCullough all of a sudden we were wide open, being wise after the game i would have started Main up front, sacrificed Forrester and had Tyson wide left.I think tonight proved McCullough can play the holding midfield role, for me this role is better than centre back for him, really disappointed the manager didn't have some fresh ideas for substitutions, once a goal down the substitutions killed any chance we had of a result.Well done to MK Dons a creative young forward looking team with a very good midfield, the young fresh options they had on the bench also helped to swing the game in their favour, beaten by a very good team.
