Any of you old and bold out there off to Twickenham for today's event? Allegedly there appears to be a rugby match on! I'll be the one in a Rovers top, upside down, gibbering shite in the RE bar along with a few others!

It was a good weekend again.... although very hazy in places.  We went down Friday - Jersey Boys in the evening with the girls and then the match on Saturday.  UJ Club was maxed out - but it was a great atmosphere.  Already booked up for next year - match is scheduled for 30 April 2016.

'Twas s great event once again, even managed to meet up with a fellow exSapper/Rovers supporter. I'm lucky enough to be able to travel in/out from where I live, saves a fortune on hotels which helps with the beer bill! £5 a pint!

I agree £5 a pint is taking the piss.  However, I did manage to sneak in some dark rum, so I didn't miss any of the game this year by having to join the queues which are normally 5 deep at the bar.

Also glad that the RAF won the inter-services this year - for a change - first time since 1994...

any one would think the senior service and the Royal Flying Corps were jealous! It's not as if the Army actively recruit good rugby players from Fiji......is it?!!!

We don't have to, we won it without them!

I had a great weekend, sell out crowd. I thought the match was pretty poor and it just got in the way of the drinking. Dominated by Fijians yet again. Spent Saturday night in Richmond and Sunday watching the VE parade. Excellent weekend all in all and always good to catch up with old oppoes.

At that price its almost a tragedy to have isn't it (a piss I mean).
It must be hard to get your best team together these days with all the services being so stretched.
Probably explains why the R.A.F. won - they would have had a considerable strategic advantage from the get-go. It takes a lot longer to get your players in by tank and ship. Take it their (Army and Navy) 1st. XV will be arriving next week ! Lol
