All round quality performance. Swindon really didn't get a sniff.

Having watched that today, I find it very difficult to believe we were in the same division.

I found it difficult to believe Swindon and Preston were in the same division. Swindon were awful.

Yes we were and managed to get a draw at their place. But they performed consistently through the year and achieve nearly 90 pts we must be aiming for that this year, it won't be easy never done it in our history😴😴😴 but let's show records can be broken and aim for promotion.

Are you saying we've never earned 90 points in a season? Because that isn't true.

Sorry if I've misread the post.

I was told on here we have not achieved 90pts at this level before?

In 1946-7 in Tier 3 we achieved a record breaking 72 points at 2 per win from 42 matches - it would have been 105 at 3 per win. That was in the old regionalised Division 3 North

Ok a pedant could say it was 72 points not 90, and you could say it was a regionalised tier 3, one of 2 parallel leagues, but I reckon it counts.

[/quote]        Would I be right in saying that 72 points tally was never beaten in the old 2 points for a win.

Les - it was never beaten in a 42 games season, Lincoln reached 74 points from 46 games in 1975-6. The nearest was Tottenham with 70 points from 42 games in 1919-20.

Was it 4, 1 Man U but will be a Preston Player next season, 1 Aston Villa can't see him in their first team also plated at Chesterfield this season, 1 Leicester but he will not be there next season, 1 Bolton but already released.

99% of rovers fans wanted preston out of the way for next season so that's a good result

at the start of the season i expected swindon with their (so called) money troubles to very nearly get relegated along with chessie and rochdale definitely relegated -- think i was a year too early this may well happen in 205-2016

swindon have a couple of southampton season loans central defenders and other loanees so they look of no consequence

preston splashed the cash when their manager was under pressure as someone on here pointed out getting sam johnstone and buying that former chesssie loanee from Aston Villa (this season that's partially why they were doing well early on)  a whole load of us on here knew that villa loanee was quality £50,000 apparently and fortunes in wages like sam

so good look to them   wonder if Glynn might loan us someone as they obviously need to strengthen a lot

Swindon want to be sending their defensive loanees back for good, they are dreadful at the back.

Or perhaps their defenders aren't so bad but their manager doesn't know how to set up a defensive team.

Doubt very much Preston pay that much on wages, they used 2 hence them being about 20 million plus in debt,no way is Johnstone on that much wages, also can't see the lad from villa being on that much either but I could be wrong

just to remind you they knew how to push a rovers player over for a blatant penalty and make sure the ref didn't see it ---  when rovers were 1-0 ahead --  IF that penalty had been given we could dream about having soreheads after rovers had won the play-offs ........   sorry got to go and take the tablets  :suicide:

against orient they "mucked about" at the back and gave a suicidal goal away so much so it looked like an "alleged" "bronco layne" game if you get the "alleged" drift.
