I don't think he would have been as good as Leo.

To be honest I am glad we didn't get Pope. He seems to be a very gobby young man who should learn to keep his mouth shut. He seems to think he has the right to say whatever he wants about Port Vale. We can do without that kind, they never settle in with the rest of the squad.
That's what I am beginning to think too...I don't think we'll be looking at Browny but was thinking just how much of a team player he was. Dickov obviously likes a target man up top...and for some reason didn't go all out for Pope as I'm sure if he really wanted hin we could have got him. Makes me wonder do we have a very good striker about to sign...Quote from: newyankee on June 14, 2015, 03:09:25 am To be honest I am glad we didn't get Pope. Who would you rather have signed this season say on a free. Chris Brown or Pope?
With Pope we may have been able to walk over water, with Brown even if he couldn't part the ''Red and white sea'', he was always handy to lay across a puddle if we needed a bridge for others to cross, he laid over many a puddle in the rovers cause.
