Really surprised that everyone is talking about SOD, how good this is for him and what a great manager he was for us - but we should forget the past and move on etc. and nobody has mentioned what a great move this could be for us now. He still has ties with the club, recieved a great reception from fans, players and chairman at the legends game - any chance of a quality loanie coming in to Donny from the pool - insider info.....In fact lets offer to be a partner in developing their youth players. Come on PD make that call

Donny Viking - I think the way SODs departure was handle by the Board will have put pay to any favours being done for us by him. And, as we all know, SOD is very much a man of principal!!!!

Craig,

When it comes to loaning players out I would think Sean would talk it over with the player and only let him go to a club where the player/ his club could gain a benefit from that position, could that be Donny?

Old pals act will not come in to it.

Will he hold a grudge against our club for the poor treatment? I don't think so, Sean seems to take a very philosophical view on life in football and getting the sack is very much part of it.

The BBC. First with the news!

Leaving aside the "Sheffield United lose appeal" aspect, how have they managed to produce a "factfile" that ignores the most successful period of his career?

Been watching old vids of The Day Today recently.

That Factfile sounds like a Chris Morris job.

Sean O'Driscoll - the FACTS!

1) Sean O'Driscoll was BORN!
2) Sean O'Driscoll is rumoured to have two testicles!
3) Sean O'Driscoll is an anagram of "LL! No Disco Arse". A reference to the FACT that, whilst manager of Sudbury AntiGrammaticals, he signed the 1980s Ladies Love rapper LL Cool J, but banned him from shaking his naked tush in the dressing room to the sound of "(You Make Me Feel) Mighty Real" by Trans-sexual disco star Sylvester who died of bad AIDS.

The best left back we had in the last ten years and never replaced.
Great to hear he felt Sean made him better.

Now it appears that Gary McAllister is joining Liverpool's backroom staff as a coach.

I wonder if the two of them will chat fondly about the playoff final  :scarf:

No doubt McAllister will use his finger to stir Sean's tea, when he's not looking!.
