He may be an excellent player for you. Or this may just be Reece Wabara turning it on in front of the TV cameras again (as he did for Oldham against both Liverpool and Everton and the FA Cup a few years back).

Either way, he was crap here and not many tears were shed when he left. That's not sour grapes, that's just reality.

Wabara was absolutely dog shit in the championship but tbf last season he did quite well and improved a lot, I would have kept him for this season because he's better than what we have at right back now.

That's true he said he turned down a contract in January because he wanted to try and play at a higher level and for knowing that long he maybe leaving we still failed to bring in another right back, piss poor management.

A bit like Cedric, I thought he had the makings of a decent wing-back. His defending left a lot to be desired though.

If Barnsley give him licence to bomb on and cover the space behind him he could do quite well for them.

As much as it pains me to say it I think Barnsley are on the up and we're on a downward spiral. Their youth system seems to produce better players than us, they've just sold a Donny lad for 2 mil (sickener!). They will probably get a massive windfall if Stones goes to Chelsea and they seem to be attracting slightly better players than us. I personally would've liked to have kept Wabara, he's no O'Connor but he's a lot better than we have.

Wabara is steady enough at this level, he does have the odd good game but he probably has two bad ones for every decent one.

He is definately better than McCulloch at rb, but in fairness that isn't really difficult.

Come back in six months and we'll discuss this topic again - you'll be tearing your hair out long before then at some of the truly stupid decisions he makes.

Is it the pitch
Richie wellness complained before the season started its too hard
Not good for one touch football
Bellevue was the envy of football
Spend on the pitch and it may reap rewards
Injuries may also be resulting from this basic problem
The players do well at cantle you and then come to playing on hardboard

Apart from Tyson, all our injuries are impact injuries, the pitch is n't to blame for our current crisis

And personally I think Wabara is another example of a footballer that PD couldn't get to reach his potential! He seemed to have pretty much everything - good upbringing at Citeh, bit of pace, bit of strength, decent control, decent awareness of stuff happening around him, decent fitness and so on and so on! Yet he comes to us and it all goes tits up!

Good luck to him at Barnsley (much as it pains me to say so) - I think he has all the ingredients to make a good league Championship player but PD couldn't mix 'em together properly to make the cake!

I don't think he's bad going forward but he's a terrible defender.
He had odd good game for us and will do for Barnsley

There's no wonder he's started to play out of his skin. He must be desperate to attract a move away from the Dingle lifestyle........

Yes, but don't forget he is an elite footballer. That pic depicts Dingle luxury.

Put some pram wheels on it, and you have the Barnsley team bus.

You shouldn't take the pi55.
I heard yesterday that a car smashed into a pram on Dodworth Road.
Apparently there was coal all over the road afterwards.

A recent survey showed that 1 in 3 Barnsley fans are just as thick as the other 2.

A bloke i know who has three kids, from barnsley, told me that his eldest son was puzzled as to why he only had one brother but his sister had two.

A Barnsley fan was watching his team in the pre-match kick about when he said to his mate "is that Casper's kestrel int'nets? His (cleverer) mate said "no you daft bugger, it's Luke's Teal"!

think we've seen the last of the Barnsley fan for a while - didn't realise they were so religous in Barnsley
with their "Holy" defence
