Evans now 2-1. Direct action needed.
« on September 29, 2015, 04:43:11 pm by normal rules »
Whilst betting on managers has little science to it, I cannot stand this any longer. I'm going to email the club to err my disgust at the very thought of SE blighting the KM.

The thought of Evans as manager is repulsive but still isn't as sickening as losing most weeks, playing shit football and achieving nothing under Dickov.

I would be disanointed because I dislike him as a person and don't think he is a long term thinking manager. I also think someone like Darren Ferguson would have been a better appointment. However Evans has a good record and we probably will improve.

Surely Fatboy missed the deadline, as a Shortlist was made yesterday?

Why? I'm not really au fait with why people have this hatred for him. Surely it can't be just for tax irregularities, is there something else I'm not aware of?

Maybe he told the club of his interest late last week resulting in him leaving after a good away with for Rotherscum?

I only hope those so steadfastly against Evans have never implied previously that it's purely a results business. Clearly, judging by this reaction, morals, values and integrity are of greater importance than it's previously appeared.

Surely Steve Evans' appointment will only worsen the situation we already face where the kiosks seemingly have a pie shortage?

You're not wanted here,

Dare to dream- he has been in his last two jobs for five and three years. That's pretty long term in today's football

morals, values and integrity are only relevent when it suits, so it seems, El Hadji Diouf had the same sort of comments before he signed for us, the fans didn't leave in droves when he signed despite many saying they would, we've had jailbirds and murderers play for us. Like I said in another post, people are letting sentiment cloud their judgment, the facts are he has a 43.5% win record, how many other out of work managers can match or better that?

I work with a lot of millers fans and apparently he's on his way to Dundee or Motherwell, he's going north.

I wouldn't welcome him either, but I wouldn't write him off.  It's results and football I care about.

f**king hell, is Scotland big enough to take him? Maybe they'll prop up the overflow with oil rigs or something.

I don't like him at all. I don't like the way he goes about his business, how he comes across in the media or what I recall of the way his teams have played against us. I've also never been of the opinion that football is purely a results business. For me it's always been entertainment, camaraderie and belonging and results play apart but are not all encompassing.

There are lots of qualitative factors that get ignored when people are peddling agendas to compare or criticise individuals. When it boils down to that objective, people tend to pick on results and percentages exclusively. On that basis, some of the double standards on display when objecting to Evans are staggering. His results are good. Statistically he's a leading candidate, surely.

He also demonstrates that 'passion' that people seemingly crave. By passion I'm not referring to a meticulous and unfaltering dedication to working hard in the name of the club and the town, but the fact that he's a moron that yells and flings his arms around on the touch line. That's how passion is guaged, isn't it?

Anyone who "wouldn't mind SE here" must have short memories - one of my best mates is a Boston United fan and used to be employed by them - he'd be very happy to put anyone in the picture about Mr Evans if they're interested. The fact he's a fat, obnoxious, arrogant Cnut are his better qualities.

Yes, he gets results, but at what cost? Morally and financially he's a liability! No thanks!!

Having said that, don't want Derry either! Sh*t I've become a right fussy b*st*rd about who manages my beloved team!!

In Evans' defence he did show Rovers the greatest respect when we played at Boston in the last game of the league two winning season, when his Boston team lined up and clapped Rovers onto the pitch.

I would rather be relegated than have Steve Evans manage my football club. And I am completely serious.
