IDM,

Yes you're right, its not the same photo. I've tried to upload mine but its too large. I'll see if I can save it in a different format.

It was meant as a light hearted remark, but to answer your question I don't recall ever being in another club's bar away from home, and I've never expected or wanted to.

You go some way to proving my point Bentley.
Why wouldn't you want to go into the oppositions bar for a friendly drink?
Off the top of my head I can recall drinking in the home bar/club at Walsall & Fleetwood for starters along with many other Rovers fans.

I like to sit down  for a start! I also want to be able to get served without queuing up for half an hour.

Out of interest, how many away grounds have you been to where the club's bar is open to away supporters?

I was sad to see the BV site being redeveloped when I drove by the other week.  I think I preferred it when you could see remnants of the derelict terracing - especially the older parts that had been hidden by ground developments over the years.

I like keeping the great memories alive!

Back to the thread, someone asked a while back what fixture this was taken at - I'd like to know if there is an answer yet!

First time I have been in the Belle Vue bar at the KMS for a good few years on Saturday. I took two friends from Barnsley in and we got in the bar at 2:00.
We got 3 seats straight away and were served drinks and pies within minutes.
The service was excellent and I couldn't fault any part of the experience.
As far as away bars are concerned, I very rarely go in them:
Walsall
Fleetwood
Yeovil to name 3 that I have though.

I was in the Belle Vue bar on Saturday. I was in there from 1 o'clock. There were no free tables available inside, but there were empty benches outside. These benches relieve a bit of the demand for seats, but there use is obviously weather dependent.

We sat outside and by 1.30 ish they were all taken.

Despite it being a local derby, it was actually quieter than it was last season, probably because of the teams poor form. All the seats were taken though.

I don't like the situation really but I put up with it because at the end of the day at least my money is going into my club, not some f*****  else's.

That bottom one with the little boy studying it is a cracking photo, Dave.  Well done.

Indeed!

Isn't it funny to think that lad never knew BV? I wonder what he's thinking.

Hard to believe it is almost nine years since the move.
