Form's barely changed Hound.

6 points from 6 games (3home, 3 away) under
Dickov.

8 points from 9 games (4 home, 5 away) since he left.

Add to that, 16 points from the last 16 games of last season and the form has scarcely budged since Feb. As I said at the start of the thread, we've been consistently shite for a good long while.

Far fewer goals conceded in the first six games though BST.
The fact is we were harder to beat.

Far fewer scored an all. We were far easier to defend against.

Swings and roundabouts. We were shit then. We're shit now. Just in different ways. Any other analysis is splitting hairs.

I said on another thread that it is starting to feel like a relegation season to me.
The thing is BST, if you knew me  you wouldn't believe i have said that.
I am probably the most positive person you could ever wish to meet.

Agree hound, it's relegation unless there  is a massive upturn in form which I can't see happening. This is no criticism of DF, but I think he has taken on a far bigger challenge than even he envisage. How can you save the Titanic if its already hit the iceberg, same goes for Rovers, we are on the Titanic.

Not massive - just an upturn will do.  1.25 points per game on average, from now,  will take us to 54.  Not great in itself, but statistically not that much of an improvement really?

Sorry I miscalculated, it is a shade over 1.25 but that wasn't the point...

IDM, I don't see it happening. Since relegation from Championship we have been in decline, don't see it stopping. We might be Yeovil mark 2.

Ferguson should get us going better though, otherwise why sack Dickov - who oversaw that relegation and decline?

I think the problems are deeper than just the team, could also be a club problem. It is very hard to turnaround a team/club in free-fall and even with decent players, if there is zero morale it will make it very hard for those players to perform their best. I think we will be relegated. The best hope is that in L2 DF can build his own team and gain promotion back to L1. Sometimes you have to go backwards to go forwards, if you get my drift.

I think we have already done the backwards bit - we may take a while to get going under DF, but why not?

Take another look around christmas time maybe?

We only need be a couple of places higher by the end of the season, that should be achievable.
