If I was a Rangers supporter I would be gutted we had signed a player who could not get in a team TLO Donny

I liked Forrester. As possibly the best player we had at the start of the season he was a major reason why I decided to continue my investment in buying a season ticket.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm there BB?  Please forgive me if I am wrong, but didn't you predict that HF would be gone before the start of this season?

Seems odd that Rovers would agree to that arrangement. Not so much to do with a transfer fee but because it would scupper any chance of a sell-on clause.

So he is effectivly a free agent reading that!  So if the move was to fall through would he return to us?

I doubt it - as it looks like we don't want him anyway!

Yes I think I did predict he would leave before the start of the season, in fact I thought he'd leave at the end of last season, but even I get things wrong some times.

As it turned out he was still with us when I renewed my season ticket. I thought at the time we would be hi-flying for promotion this season and that he'd play a major part in the team, resulting in him being happy to stay.

As it turned out neither happened, and we are where we are now - looking to offload him.

He is a free agent in the summer so we were highly unlikely to get a fee for him, by letting him go we are freeing up wages which can be more productively used for players that will be in matchday squads. HF is clearly not wanted for whatever reason so this makes sense.

Confusingly in 2002 we had Dene Shields on loan from Sunderland.

If they weren't playing a decade apart you would have sworn that the latter was a name rip-off like on crap no licence football video games.

Funnily enough that Dene Shields is the same one now at Brechin. So both Rangers and Brechin have ex-Rovers players in their teams named Dean/Dene Shiel(d)s, essentially.

Their fans are not very happy about the disrespectful things (Not thinking any of their players are good enough for us) we've been saying about their massive club.

Do we care what an insignificant Scotish 2nd tier club and their fans think? 😀

Is that the club that was so massive, they assumed they didn't have to pay their tax bill?

f**k em. And if any of their fans are reading, you will be in for a big surprise the first time that knee high tackles start flying in one of their matches and they find themselves down to 10 men even though they have 11 on the pitch.

Enjoy lads.

He'll save that for his first interview with the Scttish tier 2 club he's signed for, thats if a small club like that has media facilities like 😀

I'm more concerned where they've got money to give us a fee for him from.

They've just given Mike Ashley 5m back , so a couple of quid for Harry won't hurt them.

I shouldn't be concerned, as long as the money is in the bank, it's their problem

Good luck to him. Donny fans love a plodder, not someone with a modicum of talent.

Donny fans first and foremost love a player with some heart. Most of us can spot a fanny merchant with no balls a mile off.

It never fails to amaze me the shite that comes out of people when one of our players leaves the club. Whether they're good, bad or indifferent. Why not just wish him well and move on?

To be fair one of their fans did come on here giving it the berty big bollox act and I think he got a fair appraisal of Harry in return.

In the end it's a move that I think will work out well for all parties involved.

If he'd given heart and soul and applied himself professionally in every game, I would wish him the very best of luck.

Given how he performed when it really mattered last year, and his juvenile behaviour over set pieces against Sheff Utd last year and this year at really important moments, he can just go and do his growing up elsewhere.

Worlds most successful club that is currently plying it's trade in a league equivalent to our 5th tier, which they failed to get out of last year

... bags again. He should be doing it for us keeping us up. Unforgivable that DF didn't try to get the best out of him. Rangers will end up selling him for upwards of a million.
