Can anyone tell me if the wage bill figure quoted is for all staff at the club or just playing staff?

It's all staff - there's a breakdown in the notes to the accounts of the numbers of staff between football, admin and stadium however there is no equivalent split of the £ value.

Why do you presume that raggY?

The wage bill in 2015 was over £4m. We lost no-one significant from that team in the summer, signed a bloke who had scored over 20 goals, Chaplow from the Championship, Stuckman, yes we may have lost Jones, Wellens, Forrester in January, but Allock, Stewart, Anderson, McSheffery, Rowe will all be on decent money.

Oh and Club Doncaster have LOANED Rovers £1m. Thats £1m less we would have without Club Doncaster. Work that one out.

The players that have left in total are probably on around the same as the players who have arrived over the summer and January. I reckon were currently at about £4 million again. Which I also reckon is one of the highest in the league.
6th highest someone said on hear the other day, or was it on The radio Sheff phone in can't remember.
1 Wigan  2 Sheff U  3 Coventry  4 Bradford C  5 Millwall n6 Rovers  7 Barnsley
Above is my estimate not facts before anyone says where is my evidence.

I have a memory of reading a newspaper article several months back now, somewhere in West Yorkshire I think, about a forthcoming complicated court case. Something to do with money laundering and, I think, tax dodginess. There were some scary names involved. I'm not going to name them because I'm doing this from memory. I might get it wrong. But if someone would care to search around the press from perhaps 6 months back they might find it and be able to relay what the paper felt able to say at the time. I think it might be interesting.

I don't like the sound of money put in is guaranteed against company assets, that's worrying to me what the future holds.

I'm not sure how it all works financially, but i'm not comfortable that if they want the money back, what happens to the club?.

Nobody has still not answered the question as to where Club Doncaster got this £1.5m from.

Without knowing much
I would guess that this money relates to money generated by renting our office space at the KMS and back office savings

Oh, you've suddenly become concerned with the Belles and Dons now, after months of telling us they are draining funds from DRFC 😴

Off the scale levels of stupidity in this post.

A group of sports clubs that are in the same town playing in the same stadium is hardly the same as a group of rival clubs being owned by the same person/group - for one thing, that would be impossible as it would be against the rules. And for another, it's a f**king ridiculous comparison to make anyway.

What company assets? We only have the training ground and the players don't we?

Admin should be low-ish with the majority coming under Club Doncaster now, right?

The charge is specifically over the leasehold assets - which presumably only relates to the Keepmoat.

Any transfer fees paid are treated as Intangible Fixed Assets and are then amortised (charged to the P&L account) spread over the length of the player's contract. At 30/6/2015 we had players that we had paid a fee for, with a "carry forward" value of £103k. Obviously this does not necessarily reflect the market value of the squad (based on this season's showings, it's obviously a gross over-valuation!)

The lease is held by the Foundation, which in turn is held by Club Doncaster.

Isn't the training ground also held on a long lease?

So the lease for the football ground is held by a charitable foundation? Hmmm very creative.

Sorry Wes.

I wasn't trying to be clever or to show off. I did read something quite a while back now that made me sit up and go 'Gasp!' I'll see if I can find a link. If I name names and then find later I've got something wrong, I'd be committing libel. As I don't want to do that I wrote what I wrote. If you'd all rather I didn't mention stuff I spot or find out, fair enough. Anyone care to say which way I should plump for in future?

As for the organisation that holds the lease, that's chuffing brilliant! A real creative stroke of genius. Whoever thought of it should be applauded very publicly.
