Not sure who Van Winkle was but it's always sad to read of yet another famous person's demise. What a terrible year for celebrity deaths.

Amongst all these celebraty departures it seems to have been missed that we have also sadly lost the sublime talents of 'Big' John Thomas, former lead guitarist of the band, Budgie.
