I have to say I thought the cull might have gone further. I dare say he is hamstrung by the number of players we have under contract for next season.

 Even if we can get rid of the chosen 8 that still leaves some rubbish, including the manager. A couple of solid defensive acquisitions could have kept us up . Not fixed everything but kept us up.
 
Plus our recruitment has generally been poor. Maybe we should have kept or replaced Brian Flynn for all round football knowledge.

I wish I was confident for next season and beyond .

Got rid of Jones who would have been good enough and could have motivated those alongside - though I accept his potential for a life changing injury may have been a factor

Keegan, Tyson, Evina (not as a defender) and Butler are easily good enough for L2 and are players who put a shift in much more than some of the others.

I agree with pies in that I suspect a few were told a while back and becae demotivated! I can see the logic there as well tho' but suspect it may have been handled wrong - in that they were told...

'you're crap and I don't want you next year'
as opposed to ...

'you're not in my plans for next year as I want to move things in a different way meaning you'll not be a fit for me BUT play your heart out for the current cause and we'll make sure we get you a move to a team where you will fit!'

Obviously probably not those exact words but I reckon most of you on here will get the gist of what I'm trying to say!
