Paul Marquis could be found in Visage on a Thursday and Saturday night far more often than at Belle Vue on a Saturday afternoon

These pics of our new signings are winding me up! I know League 2 is more rough and tumble than we've been used to for a few years, but are we playing teams of bulls at the Keepmoat next season? Quit with the poxy torero posing and put the feckin shirts on

I've asked a couple of lads in know that watch Northampton regularly. They reckon he's a good player...huge work rate and knows where bak of net is. They also mentioned he knows how to keep ball well and is really useful when holding onto a lead at end of a game....I asked him what "a lead" was! ;)

I haven't been able to find any, Dutch.

The last time I spoke , he was still local.

Paul Marquis seems to have vanished. Probably gone abroad. I remember him as a decent enough player but almost impossible to get on the park. He was an earlier version of Steve Brooker!

He had one of the shortest ever West Ham careers. He came on as a sub in the last 60 seconds of a game v Man City.
he works , or worked until recently for royal mail

Thanks. Around Donny or back in London?

I wonder if this rules out Keshi coming back

No, listen to Fergies interview, he says we're looking to bring in a quick striker on loan when they are back in training

That comment says to me that that is the end of our signings, I hope not we still need a left back

Possible that we will also bring a defender (left sided) on loan. Effectively as cover for the injured ATS. I agree we look short in that area.

Left back/lwb and centre midfielder for me! As much as I like what keegan does and mccullogh's seamless switch to cente mid I'd like another if poss!

Just been looking at some pics of him on the net, think he was split at birth with Gareth Bale.If he's half the player Bale is,he'll be a good asset in League 2.

Do you mean if he's a £40m player, he'll be a good asset?!

Have to say, I agree with the lookalike call though - crossed my mind when I saw him!

We might try to move a couple out before bringing any more in. I would imagine we will still bring in a left back, midfielder and striker with pace.

Your right, thinking about it,I should have put more like 1/20th of a player Bale is.

Yes I would think that everything else is now dependent on moving one or two out, still don't think we can complain at 7 in and only one out so far....Nobody was expecting that...

Still got the loan market to play with. Happy to say I've lost mental track of who we've signed so I'll wait to the season to see them play.

He has been on loan to practically every club, exaggeration i know, made appearances but not that many at each club, but has scored goals.
He has adapted to different dressing rooms, and carried on scoring. I think he needs this permanent deal, to get his career on a solid footing.
Twenty four years old, but with a lot of experience of different levels. Physically big enough, quick enough, hard worker and scores goals, and will up his average now he has a permanent deal. A very decent signing for this level, and improvement still to come.

Definitely Mar-quis, unless you're the sort of person who calls Paris "Par-ee."

I know the link I posted referred to  "Mark-ee-Cha-Cha" but that was Mark E. Smith being ironic. Something he does very well!
