...one of the two top players of his generation. But he'll never be a man.

Loadsa money, bags of talent, absolutely zero class.

I was chuffed to bits when Iceland held out for the draw last night, terrific achievement by them.
And if Hungary could beat Portugal I would love it, just love it...

100% CORRECT. Iceland parked their Bus in the goal and showed zero ambition. So someone ask him how they scored ?

I actually did want him to score with the late free kick though having bet on them at 4/7 which I thought was "easy" money. Will I EVER learn ?

I always preferred Messi. I too hope Hungary do them. Austria too.

.... and me now though I might have a double on Portugal - which will ensure they lose at least one game !

To be fair it's easy to criticise people's reaction straight after a game..He was obviously disappointed and frustrated and very annoyed...

However on this rare occasion I do believe BST is talking rubbish though....He has donated a lot of money to charities and changed many kids lives without rushing out to the press to gloat about it,and he has paid a fortune to give a young lad with a brain tumour a operation that will save his life...He's even had the shape of the lads scar shaved into his head in support...To me gestures like that make him more of a man than the vast majority.....

Another lesser known Ronaldo fact that caused me to warm to him slightly whilst still thinking he's an arrogant twunt at times - he's one of very few modern day footballers who doesn't have a tattoo due to him regularly giving blood.

On a similar note I read an article on Craig Bellamy and what he does for both local and international charities, certainly interesting to see how players off field personas can contrast to how they act on the field.

He's super competitive and wants to win everything, potentially throwing his toys out the pram if he doesn't win. The guy trains longer than any other player because he wants to be the best.

Pepe also seems a really nice guy off the pitch. In contrast with being a Kitson of the highest order on it.

Fair enough Wing Co. I wasn't aware of that.

And I get the super competitive thing. I just think comments like his last night, when the guard is down, are a window into the soul.

I understand frustration, but I dislike someone whose immediate reaction is to blame someone else rather than look into themselves. Maybe it's what he needs to do to be successful. But if that's the case, I prefer my heroes tone the old fashioned sort with a little humility to go with the ability.

The ref last night obviously likes Ronaldo.
He added two extra minutes onto the three minutes of add on time, even though there were no stoppages or substitutions, just so he could watch Ronaldo take two free kicks.

He has turned into the schoolground bully.

Got so big that he is now being used just as battering ram. Huge balls lumped up for him to head. Now so muscle bound and lacking in mobility he is basically a mahogany tanned Chris Brown.

Well done Iceland. Three shots on goal and one goal is 33pc strike rate. Very good indeed. Portugal had 22 efforts and one goal. Piss poor strike rate. More fool them.

Pepe up to his usual antics again I see.

Loved the Ron Harris style tackle, take the ball then take the man in the thigh with the follow through! Flashback to the 70's

Is he the only footballer with an island, and a statue of himself?, surely nobody else has gone to those lengths....
