Great bit of business, keep him in midfield and he will become a very good player.

With defenders injured he will be playing in defence for quite a while this season unless we sign another defender.

Excellent news.very difficult to say what the line up will be for the first game in view of the amount of injuries we have.

If he continues to develop at the rate he did in the latter part of last season you have to ask yourself how good he will be by the time he is 25.

He's a competent defender but hope we don't play him there.

Good news! Hopefully he's the regular at the base of midfield this season.

Club website says three years.   Good news as he is ours to sell if he progresses as we hope he will.

Let's hope he doesn't have to play defence as midfield is where we need him however, good that he could drop to defence if needed.

I half expected he would be on his way. Maybe a blessing he didn't get any exposure at the Euros.

Baz I agree but with Wright? and Butler as our only two central defenders unless we invest either permanently or loan I can't see any other till the end of August.

We only have Lund at right back if we play in a four, he could at a push play right of a three but it's a risk.

So for McCullough to have a chance at back of a three or the diamond we definetly need another defender who can play right back or central defence.

Extended 2 years on top of the one year he currently has = 3 years.

He's dropped down 2 levels in 3 yeas at an age where he should be improving. If he doesn't stand out this season he should rag in.

IMO this will be very good for us.
It doesn't seem too long ago that he was getting plenty of stick from plenty of our fans.

But he played in different postions in the last three years used more has utility player. Let's hope he can hold down a position to improve his development.

The team he played Dropped two levels in the last 3 years as well.

In my opinion, if he plays the holding midfielder on a regular basis it will be the making of him and we'll get big money for him

Point taken Donny, but his new contract will be three years at a higher wage, so therefore a three year deal.

Would expect so no point in pushing him if he feels better in a bit they may bring him back on

He didn't.  He got moved roles to recruitment manager or something.
