DR in second place with a 2 nil win over Newport County. This represent 66.66% (recurring) return on a possible maximum of 24 pts so far. If this is maintained we go up. But is this the best average over 8 games in any period? You all rose to the challenge of my last poser well, and it made good reading.

1981-82 we won 5 and drew 1 of our first 8 games, 1946-47 we won 7 and lost 1 of the first 8, 1949-50 we won 5 and drew 2.

So not quite the best but a good start anway.

There is only Scunthorpe top of league 1 with 18 and Barnsley 4th in the Championship with 19 that have more goals. pretty impressive. DR third top scorers in the whole of the 4 leagues.

It's great we have had a very good start, but we have faced a fair few of the poorer teams qualitywise. Everybody has to face every team, but we have had a nice start with the fixtures we faced so far.
