I genuinely had that in the title bar as a thread title at one point, IDM. I changed it before I posted it because I thought it was too highbrow for the topic at hand.

A stat coming out of the debate is that Trump told one falsehood every 3 minutes and 15 seconds on average. His campaign's response? Don't trust the fact-checkers because they have an agenda. People who check FACTS. Have an AGENDA.

Mind you, we're living in a country where people are fed up of experts, so maybe I can't say too much.

Did he tell lies as often as those Brexiters though,  I very much doubt it . He will have something up his sleeve no doubt , perhaps she made someone cry in Junior High ? Whatever these are a nasty pair but I don't think they could hold a candle to the devious Theresa

Don't hold a candle to devious Theresa......... I'm guessing that you are joking right?  I would sooner have Neil Hamilton as Prime Minister than entertain either of these muppets. I (personally) quite like TM, but even if she was twice as 'devious' as you purport, I would still have more respect about her than either of the US candidates...

Unfortunately i think he will be the next president. I know the polls don't point to him winning, it's just a hunch. For me he seemed to win that debate other night, not by much but i thought he edged it.
I think the actual figures deciding who wins are much closer than is thought.

Nobody 'won' the debate - there wasn't one.  All that took place was a bit of mud-slinging - but no debate.....

Well the latest rumour is that Trump isn't even bothered about winning the election any more. What he's after is stoking up a fire under his voter base, not reaching out to the undecideds, so he can work with his Breitbart pals on some kind of media network after the election. That's why he went so hard on the personal attacks against the Clintons on the last debate, yet when he gets asked about anything to do with policy he doesn't have a clue. That is very worrying for so many reasons because it implies the highest, most important job in the world is a billboard for extreme, borderline fascist views.

Macho - he (allegedly) didn't even want to be the Republican candidate!

Based on what?

A hunch as i said red, i've thought that all the way through from the start. There's no rhyme or reason for him to win, i unfortunately think it's going to happen. Both candidates aren't really what they need, just like our parties leaders aren't.

Americans vote for their president and heir senators separately I think.. so you can have a majority government that is republican but a democrat president.

They may as well put up Ronald macdonald for president rather than Trump!

That is exactly what the US has got right now IDM. Has had for a number of years. It has had baleful consequences.

Cheers
