A few clues to be going on with, he is from Leeds and started off in punk bands in the local area, was the singer and bass player in a major rock act in the 1990's and his latest band have just released a new album and I saw them play the opening date of their latest tour three weeks ago - about 150 yards from where this photo was taken actually.
