I'm surprised it has been moved as tickets have already gone on sale. It does make November's programme a bit lighter.

According to the DROS article this was at the EFL's request.

I would prefer this than dragging a January fixture into that date, as has been discussed on another thread.  There will be more recovery time by not playing midweek, especially as we still have players to come back from injury.

I can imagine a few fans will be disappointed, but perhaps more can now make a Saturday game?  For me it's no issue either way as I can get there from where I live for an evening match too..

That's what I thought as well.

Fans are second class citizens and completely unimportant to the modern game. /S

There's been a thought whether it can be achieved is questionable.

From DRFC
TRAVEL |  We recommend anyone who already has train tickets to the Stevenage game contact their provider to ask for change of date or refund.

I get why they've done it, but terrible for those with train tickets.

On DRFC face book page

TRAVEL | Rovers understand some of our supporters will have been inconvenienced by the change of date for our Sky Bet League Two fixture at Stevenage.

We are aware of a number of fans who have already purchased train tickets for the original date, who now face trying to change their travel arrangements.

Therefore we ask anyone in this position to get in touch with the Box Office at the Keepmoat Stadium, or alternatively email Tracy.bawden@clubdoncaster.co.uk.

Our away support this season has been fantastic and really appreciated by the players and management, we will continue to keep the supporter experience at the forefront of our planning.
