Best ground I've been to: Hull's probably.
Worst ground: Has to be Wigan's old ground... But it was the best for mudslides. Always thought Millmoor was a shitehole.

From the shape of Wigan's old Springfield Park I assumed they used to have Speedway or dog racing there. In fact they once had a trotting track!

Old Spotland was quite a dump. Withdean was just not built to be a footy ground. I liked the old Vetch Field though. Helluva place that for me. Don't think much at all of their new place. It's as soulless as ours. In fact, along with the Scunny I'd put them three down as the 3 worst new FL grounds in the country.

Leek town was bad that New Years day.No toilets or food.Dagenham was bad that 3-3 draw. Locked toilets.Leeds Road Huddersfield was a good terrace and the new grounds ok.What was wrong with the cinder bank at the Shay.

I was a Millmoor long ago with Rovers when a wall collapsed. Some broken bones I seem to recall. Utter dump.

Someone said they'd never been to Anfield with Rovers but some must remember the 2 - 2 game in the '74 FA Cup 3rd round?

I've lived abroad for years and don't know many current grounds. Belle Vue best and Elland Road worst - just because...

About 10,000 of us Raven. Trying to ousting the Kop with You'll Never Walk Alone.
Another false dawn but a great day. We were a tad unlucky that day.
One highlight was Pancho Regan leaving ''The Anfield Iron'' Tommy Smith in a heap on the floor.
There was even a young Man U. fan that sneaked in stood with us getting his scarf out from under his jumper.

I have, so tight it forces people to stand which is one of the reasons I like it.

... and notably the thinnest goal posts I have ever seen, A Dave Penny "thunderbolt" would have seriously dented them

The old Spotland was really memorable with the floodlights mounted on thick Telegraph Poles but The Shay mentioned several times already was challenging and with its Speedway Track it that meant the corners of the Pitch when Football was on were stood on huge Pallets with Turk on top of them. So if you were taking a corner kick as a Player you would be taking you (short) run up on a Pallet

When Speedway was the sport the Forklifts simply lifted out the Pallets leaving it free for what was at most times a very good Team Halifax Dukes. I managed to find "proof" of this a few years back as my memory was "doubted" but I know some of those on here will remember this as fact !

Wasn't the Shay Given a facelift a few years back?

Lets be honest I bet Belle Vue comes up as worst ground visited for a lot of fans of other clubs. I mean the facilities for home fans weren't great but at least the majority was under cover.
